It's official. Pasco County teens have raised enough funds for the Rockus Maximus Friends membership drive in order to torture James and Paul. They will both have to wax the hair off of one arm live and recorded on video to be displayed on Youtube for your enjoyment. Congratulations to our awesome teens.

Wow. That's about the only thing we can say about Rockus Maximus Retro: Battle of the Bands XII. If you missed it, we are sorry... very sorry.
On Friday, March 20th, our annual concert went off without a hitch at Crews Lake Park, drawing 600+ attendees. It was a hard-fought battle between our 8 bands, with Variance eventually emerging victorious, followed by Scilter, Tomatoes & Radio Wires, and The Distance. Glowsticks were everywhere, pizza and ice cream flowed like a mighty river, and fun was had by all. Very poetic, eh? No? Oh well, it was still a great night. We actually have a couple of BotB t-shirts remaining that survived the night. The numbers are very limited and only exist in M, L, and XL sizes. Stop by any library and purchase one today for only $10.
Check out our MySpace page for all the photos and videos from the event... coming very soon! If you have your own photos or videos, message us on MySpace with the link to where they are posted. As a little preview, here are our Battle winners for your viewing enjoyment. Click on the image for a full-size view.
Online Voting Winner. We had over 10,000 votes this year and Hippodrome came out on top!

Live Event Winner. Variance triumphed for a second year in a row. Congrats!

Yes - it's finally here! The event we all have been waiting for - Pasco County Library System's 12th Annual Battle of the Bands!
Join us at Crews Lake park in Shady Hills for our latest and biggest concert extravaganza, now in its 12th year. We have 8 bands lined up to play and compete for fabulous prizes on the earth stage. As if 5 hours of solid music isn't enough, we will have a covered pavilion where we will have numerous game systems hooked up to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band, plus a food booth selling pizza, ice cream, and snacks.
We will also be giving away hundreds of glowsticks and wands for your after sundown amusement. The best part is that admission is free as long as you have a library card!
Friday, March 20th from 6:00-11:00pm.
Be there!
